Student Prerequisites:
* Have completed (or equivalent knowledge / experience): 5403AE - Implementing Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.
* Have on-the-job experience implementing, managing, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2003, including Internet Information Services (IIS).
* Have working knowledge of networking, for example, TCP/IP and Domain Name System (DNS).
* Have basic knowledge of key benefits of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS), new features and functionality of MOSS, and WSS 3.0 acting as a platform for MOSS.

This course is 2 hours long.
Objectives:
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the solutions, design goals, core components, and administrative functions of MOSS 2007.
Describe the various components of the logical, physical, and administrative architecture of MOSS 2007.
Describe the solutions provided by integrating MOSS 2007 with Office 2007 client applications, Windows Workflow Foundation, Exchange Server 2007, ISA Server 2004, and Active Directory services.
Describe the purpose of a portal and the methods used to aggregate, organize, and present content in MOSS 2007.
Describe the various phases in the design and development process of MOSS 2007 and the guidelines for interpreting its functional specifications, authentication, authorization and security, operational metrics, and interoperability requirements.
